How To Record A Video Of Your Android Smartphone Screen Display. Step By Step Tutorial With Photos
Android is by far the most popular and flexible mobile
operating systems today mostly due to its great features. And the best thing
about it is, these features keep increasing with each new version of the
Android OS. One of such features that have been added over time is the screen
video recording feature.
I believe there must have been a time you wanted to
record something on your Android phone and send to somebody and
couldn't find a way to do it
Well, the solution is here.
The Android screen recording feature comes inbuilt with some
Android phones like the new Infinix Hot 4.
With some other phones however you would need to install a
screen recording app.
There are many other Android screen recording apps out there but in this tutorial,
we will be using the DU SCREEN
RECORDER.
DU Recorder makes recording an Android device’s
display easy be it a picture (screen shot) or a video.
DU Recorder is easy and straightforward, and so it is
easy for anyone to use.
HOW TO RECORD YOUR SCREEN WITH DU SCREEN RECORDER
1) Download DU Screen Recorder from Google Play Store.
After it has been downloaded and enabled on your device, a tiny video recorder icon will appears on your phone's display.
The icon is small and doesn’t take up much space on your screen. You can also drag and place it anywhere on your display and you can turn it off by dragging towards the bottom of your device, just like a Facebook messenger chat bubble.
2) Click on the video recorder icon and press the record button that will appear.
The app will then count down from three and start recording everything that appears on-screen.
The app will then count down from three and start recording everything that appears on-screen.
You can also enable touches. This will show you finger touches in the video.
3)To stop recording, just click on the record button again and select either the stop or the pause button.
If you select stop a notification will appear with different options to play, delete, edit, or even share the recording.
Other Features Of DU Screen Recorder
Though the app makes screen recording easy, it can also do a lot more(that's why it's different from other screen records). It is a screen recorder as well as a video editor.
To see its other features Click the du recorder icon then the video recorder with the wrench and the Recording toolbox will open giving you quick access to the camera, brush, GIF recorder and show touches.
These four options are to enable you enhance the video recording process.
- The camera will turn on your front camera.
- The brush will turn your screen into a canvas.
- GIF recorder will make six-second clips in low giphy-like quality.
- The show touches options allows you to show exactly what you are clicking while the recording is going on, which is great for how-to videos.
DU Recorder can also take screenshots (most phones can do that though)
DU Recorder also has many other features. After clicking on the video recorder icon there’s an option with four squares it opens up the full app.
Also the app shows you how much space is still remaining to take videos. With the video editor you can trim, remove the middle, add music, turn the video into a GIF, add subtitles, add a background image. You can also crop the video and rotate.
The next page display images and with the following page you can merge videos, crop images, blur images, stitch images together and to transfer videos and images over WI-FI
From the settings you can change the countdown timer from 3 secs(the default) to any time you choose.
You can also change the video quality and choose whether to record audio.
The app is free and has no ads either meaning you won’t be disturbed with different ads (clash of clans comes to mind.... lol).
